okay, back up here. what I meant when I replied was that I hear about this imaginary scenario quite a bit, where the gov't and ordinary citizens duke it out, as a rationale for why we need guns. now, I love my guns, but I think this is one of those things that's a wee bit out of proportion now versus 18th century United States. in that time period, this country rose up against Britain and caused them to back off, winning independence. all I'm saying is that if the people of the US wanted to somehow defeat the government, and assuming the battle lines were already drawn (Gov't/Military vs. everyone else) we're toast, IMHO. that's the only scenario I'm talking about in this hypothetical. I get what you mean, I am just debating the merits of this one scenario that gets brought up (a lot).

Travel/tourism is dropping in Western countries. More people are heading to the countries QV mentioned for travel/tourism as well.

Despite deals in Europe, Americans stay home:

No Americans in France:

Americans pay more for flights to Europe:

The dollar doesn’t buy squat in Europe. The Euro is stronger than the US Dollar. The British Pound sterling is stronger than the US Dollar. Few other currencies stronger than the USD.

More people are losing interest in places like Europe. Including people who never been like me.

Yay! All 4 exams completed and now i'm a post-graduand, pending results... Thanks for asking. Yes, evening and dark here now, as I sit typing, illuminated by the eco-friendly lights overhead.

I'll try to get back into some science/culture/belief postings, the original "vibe" of this blog.

Okay, so Indian "Cape" Malay from Zambia? Is that right or have I got it all wrong? I see so much of you here and on the Neocrats that now I'm curious to know more. MORE!
